Christopher Phelps Wins NVTC’s Private Company CFO of the Year Award
Versar Global Solutions is proud to announce that its Chief Financial and Administrative Officer Chris Phelps was recently named the Northern Virginia Technology Council’s (NVTC) Private Company CFO of the Year. The annual Technology CFO award program, now in its 28th year, honors CFOs and finance professionals who drive innovation and financial excellence across the National Capital Region.
“Chris’s accomplishment as the 2024 Private Company CFO of the Year is a testament to his knowledge and work ethic at Versar Global Solutions and throughout his career,” said Jim Jaska, President and Chief Executive Officer. “I’m pleased that his efforts are being recognized and serve as a measure of the professionalism within Versar Global Solutions.”
Phelps has more than 15 years of finance and administrative experience, specializing in financial operations, financial planning and reporting, treasury, and financial systems. Before joining Versar Global Solutions as CFAO, he held a variety of senior finance roles in the technology, engineering, commercial, and government sectors. He has also worked for several public Fortune 500 corporations. In 2023, he spearheaded the integration of Versar and LBS as they joined forces to form the combined company: Versar Global Solutions.
